Job Title: Emergency Callout Engineer
Location: Rutland, Lincolnshire, Cambridgeshire, Northamptonshire, Leicestershire
Hours: Variable shifts including nights, weekends, and public holidays
Job Type: Full-Time / Part-Time / Contract
We are seeking a skilled and dependable Emergency Callout Engineer to join our team. This is a critical, front-line role requiring fast response to urgent maintenance and repair issues across commercial sites. You’ll be part of a dedicated team providing 24/7 emergency coverage, ensuring essential services and systems are restored quickly and safely.
Respond promptly to emergency callouts and attend to faults or breakdowns.
Diagnose and repair faults on-site in an efficient and professional manner.
Carry out temporary or permanent repairs to resolve urgent issues.
Liaise with the operations team to prioritise callouts based on urgency and impact.
Maintain accurate records of work carried out and parts used.
Provide clear updates and reports to clients and internal teams.
Ensure all work complies with relevant health and safety regulations.
Proven experience in a similar field engineering or emergency maintenance role.
Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently under pressure.
Excellent technical knowledge.
Valid driving licence.
Willingness to work flexible hours including nights, weekends, and holidays.
Good communication skills and a professional attitude.
Relevant qualifications or certifications.
Experience with digital job tracking systems or mobile workforce tools.
First Aid and Health & Safety training.
